LI: To find the different streets and the meaning behind it.
For this task my partner and I had to find the different streets representing the people that died in war. I had to reserch about what the streets back story was. For example Tunis Rd, Tunis Road wask named after the first president of Tunisia (Habib Bourguiba). It was where a large number of the protests during the revolution took place and was featured on the news in photos on CNN.
LI: to design out taniwha names.
For this task I created my own taniwha name. My design was a mad taniwha at the letter d because it represents my name.
LI:To write and say our pepeha
To help us get to know each other we had writtine our pepehas. This allows us to make connections and form frendship. I found this activity fun because I got to learn about my pepeha and my ancestors.
This week I had to plan a sleigh.
First I had to make my own sleigh on google drawigns. I had to trace my sleigh or use different tyopes of shapes to make the christmas sleigh. Then I had to lable the different materials to use to make a sleigh. some materials you can use are cardboard, felt, wooden sticks, paper, and glue.
Next I had to do my procedure where I had to add my materials im going to use and add steps on how to make a sliegh. I had to be really specific on what to write so that who ever wants to read it can make it.
This week for school I went to the school gala.
First my class made pencil holders and bookmarks.
Next I went to go cheak out different classes stuff.
Lastly I got ice pops.
This week for Inquiry I have been making signs for my school gala.
First I had to use proper lauguage while doing my sign. I had to write information on it explaining about it. Then I had to go into my group and decided what pencil case to chose from.
Next I had to add respectful info about the product like buy one get one free. Book marks are really helpful while reading your favorite book. LS1 book marks are really creative. “come buy bookmarks and pencil cases for low price”.
This week for inquiry I had to learn what a prototype is.
First I had to go on a goolge slides that was on the inquiry slides and figure out what a prototype is. A prototype is an early version of a product from which future versions are developed. Engineers and product developers often create these test versions of a new product, service or device before releasing it.
Next I had to understand the purpose of a prototype and testing products.
This week for inquiry I had to find out what price these materials cost for my pencil case and book mark.
First I had to put my designs into the google slides my teacher had for the whole group. Then I had to say what material im using for my pencil case and bookmark and what the cost of the material is for both of my designs.
Next my partner or one of my group members would have to do feedback on my designs like what I did well at for coulors and what could I have done to make it even better. My partner or one of my group members had to say this for the colours material design and cost to make.
Lastly I had to do this task for my school gala. I enjoyed this task.
This week I made my own design on a google draw form my pencil case and bookmark.
First I had to find a pencil case on google and then trace it. Then I had to think of my own design to put on my pencil case. After that I had to find a bookmark on google trace it and draw my design on it, I had designing a bookmark and pencil case becasue it is for my school gala.
Next I had to add my pencil case design and bookmark designthe spreadsheet my teacher made. Then I had to make a labbled diagram explaining the parts of my pencil case and bookmark, I had to explain my I had these parts on my pencil case and bookmark.
Lastly I enjoyed this task. And I did well at making my own designs.
This week I had to link my google form to the spread sheet my teacher put on.
First I had to link in my google form gala and and then answer the other students form that were above and below my name. Then I had to go on my google form and press on responses and look at what people would like to have a pencil case and book mark.
Next I had to do my form results and write down a question from my form on to the text here are two examples from my form 55.6% of people want a extra pocket for there pencil case, And 77.8% of people want a rectangular shape for there pencil case.
I enjoyed doing this task for the school gala and looking at how many people would like a pencil case and bookmark.
