This week I read a book about haikus to know what a simile and syllable are.
First I had to learn about a simile. A simile is a figure of speech involving the comparison of one thing with another thing. Of a different kind used to make a description like“ You look like an marshmallow because of your white puffer Jacket”.
Next I had to leran what A syllable is. A syllable is a unit of having one vowel sound. Forming the whole or a part of a word for example. There are two syllables in water and three in inferno.
I enjoyed this task because I learnt about what the two meanings of what a simile and what a syllable is.
