Duffy Celebration

This week we celebrated Duffys birthday by creating our own Boxes, and Birthday hats. Our boxes were shown to the entire school representing our very own reading libraries where you keep all of your Duffy books safe. The birthday hats that we made were to represent Duffy’s 30th Birthday celebration and to represent that panmure bridge school has been in corporation with Duffy since 1999 and to celebrated his 30th birthday.

Matariki star design

LI: To create our own star

For this task I made my own matariki star design using the moon, sun, harakeke, sea and hook. We had to vote for class on what was the best star design. Firstly I had to chose what my design was going to be about. I chose the moon and the sun because the moon is heart to the dark sky and the stars, and the sun is key to crops and ranginui the sky father.

Next I had to write the importance of my star, and what my harakeke hook and sea represent. The harakeke represent the crops and harvesting. The hook represents maui slowing the sun and fishing throwing your hook at the bottow of the sea.

Lastly the awa. The awa is representing our awa tamiki makaurau.

Whale tail

This week I made my digital whale tail design.

First I had to find my whale tail that I made on computer.

Next I had to copy the whale tail design that was on my computer on my paper.

Lastly I had to colour in the whale tail.
