This week for PB4L I learnt how to be inclusive.
First I had to go onto the jamboard and answer some ways to be inclusive.
Next I had to go on a gooogle drawing and explain how to be inclusive to others.
Sprinting
This week for Hpe I did sprinting.
First I had to learn how to get ready to run and the stance.
Next when I was running I had to focus on looking straight ahead.
Lastly I had to sway my arms while I was running.
Signs
This week for Inquiry I have been making signs for my school gala.
First I had to use proper lauguage while doing my sign. I had to write information on it explaining about it. Then I had to go into my group and decided what pencil case to chose from.
Next I had to add respectful info about the product like buy one get one free. Book marks are really helpful while reading your favorite book. LS1 book marks are really creative. “come buy bookmarks and pencil cases for low price”.
Decimals
This week for maths I had to learn about decimals.
First I had to Subtracting decimals uses the same setup as adding decimals: line up the decimal points, and then subtract. In cases where you are subtracting two decimals that extend to different place values, it often makes sense to add extra zeros to make the two numbers line up—this makes the subtraction a bit easier to follow.
Next I had to add to subtract decimals 1) Line up the decimal points vertically. Fill in any 0’s where necessary. 2) Add or subtract the numbers as if they were whole numbers. 3) Place the decimal point in the sum or difference so that it lines up vertically with the numbers being added or subtracted.

Wonder
This week for reading I have beens skiming and scaning words on a book called wonder digataly and going through the wonder slides my teacher assisted me with.
First I had to read pages 29:31 chapter 11. I had to answer some questions that talk about the book and what it is all about. this book is about a boy named auggie at his first day of school but afriad to show his face around. Auggie was told that the princebel Mr Tushman told some students to take Auggie a tour around the school.
Next I had to make a copy of the phone template where I had to interact with charecters from the story. my task was to create an interaction of two charecters where there in a text senorio using emojis to have a conversation with. Then I had to read pages 31:32 chapeter 12, where I had to inferance what I can make about the charecters feeling or thoughts.
Then I had to read pages 33:34 chapter 13 and visualise a quote from the story. The quote went I was so nervous that the butterflies in my stomach were more like pigeons flying around my insides. After that I had to show wha emoji fits best with the words that are on my slides.
Lastly my task was to explore the differences between American English and New Zealand/UK English by identifying words in the text that have distinct variations in spelling or usage. I had to research and find the New Zealand (NZ) and United Kingdom (UK) English equivalents.
Prototype
This week for inquiry I had to learn what a prototype is.
First I had to go on a goolge slides that was on the inquiry slides and figure out what a prototype is. A prototype is an early version of a product from which future versions are developed. Engineers and product developers often create these test versions of a new product, service or device before releasing it.
Next I had to understand the purpose of a prototype and testing products.
Te reo
This week for Te Reo I have been translating maori words.
First I made a copy of the template and started listening.
Next I translated things like, “Where is your pencil? It’s on the mat” or “Kei hea to pene? Kei runga i te whariki”
Respect
This week for PB4L I had to write a dlo about showing respect.
First I had to go on a jam board and answer some questions
Next I had to make a dlo or a video to show respect to teachers.
Research Presentation
This week for reading I had to do a research presentation about anything I can research about.
First I had to go on a google slides my teacher asigned me with for my research presentation, then I had to write any kind of topic for my presentation to share with my group. After that I had to do a KWL chart aka Know, Wonder, and Learn. These three topics is what I had to do about my space presentation. Know, know means what you know about, wonder, wonder is where you ask questions that you would like to know, then Learn, learn is what you learnd about your topic.
Next I had to create a fact file about my topic for example a fact file is where you add interesting facts about the topic you have chosen. Then I had to create my slides, so my topic is about space so I had to write what kind of stuff is in space and research about. For example there are black holes in spaace so you could research about black holes and much more.
Lastly I enjoyed my research presentation. I did well at looking at really cool stuff in space.
Cybersmart
This week for cyber smart I had to do smart learner:reuse and attribute an image.
First I had to use the explore tool to search for images to use in my documents and presentations. Then I had to open the explore tool: tools menu > explore insert keyword search. After that I had to use the Explore tool to find two images about New Zealand and Insert the image on the slides, I had to resize or crop the images to fit, then click the image hyperlinks to confirm they are labeled for reuse.
Next I had to find four images that you might use for a blog post, digital learning object or presentation. then drag and drop each image into the slides that have been created (slides 6-9) attribute each image by including information about the owner of the image.
